Trip to Iowa

Here is the awesome photo account of our trip to Iowa! Roughly about 2000 miles of travel from Mexico City...it was quite an experience. Four of us in this Honda CRV traveling...and traveling...and traveling..heh! We drove thru 4 states, most of which we were able to stop and do the touristic thing of taking pictures before entering each state.. :) We felt like world class travelers. ha!
Aside from the fact that there are three girls and one guy, we are also priviledged to have three aquarians on our team...so that portends to be a good sign.. ;)
Pls pray for our trip, the Lord is doing it so far but we need miracles..its only the beginning!

Due to the fact that I'll be in Iowa fund raising for the next four weeks, Jason wanted to celebrate his fourteenth birthday before I left, so we organized an area party for 12-17 year olds. The kids played games, danced and generally had a great time--and here's the proof of that.

This was officially, "The Day of Love"...dubbed by our wonderful JTs/Teens. As you can see, we even have our own holidays...heh!! Anyway, all but Jason were thrilled at the opportunity to dress up....but at least he did manage to make into some of the pix. ha!

Toga Party!!!

Troy---the beloved Golden Lab!! Nicole's Christmas gift, but a favorite with the family. Sleeps on Justin's bed at night and is surprisingly a better guard dog than our Rottweilers--strange things do happen!! Heh!

A Mexican Experience!! One of our friends had a party at their house/property! The kids went and had a blast riding on the "mechanical" bull, swimming in freezing water, eating tacos, tortillas and tequila (well, for the adults, heh!) and even--oh dear--cotton candy! ha! It was fun and a true "Mexican Party"!

And here was the highlight....!! :)

While going hiking one day...we found...horror of horrors, the skeleton of a horse. The kids searched around until they found the entire horse. It was certainly an unforgettable experience!
